Start with the garment
A decoration area is defined by usable fabric, not just the overall item dimensions. Pockets, zippers, seams, collars, and cap panels may restrict placement. Give us the product style before finalizing artwork.
Left chest & smaller marks
A concise logo is often the clearest option for a polo, jacket, or business shirt. Very small taglines can disappear in embroidery. Consider a simplified version of the logo when readability matters more than reproducing every detail.
Full fronts & backs
Larger shirt graphics allow more visual impact, but should still have a clear hierarchy. Check both width and height, especially on youth apparel and sweatshirts with front pockets.
Sleeves, caps & bags
Curves, seams, narrow panels, and sewing access can make these placements more restrictive. A sleeve graphic and a hat logo may require a different layout from the main shirt design.
Review at actual size
A logo enlarged to fill a monitor can hide problems with tiny type. View the design at its intended dimensions and consider how far away a person will see it. Final placement and production tolerances should be reviewed with the quote and approval.
